One of our shining examples of community leadership is Mike Greenamyer, an employee from our Leetonia facility who is passionate about giving back. Mike often takes the lead in organizing community-focused events and has inspired many of his colleagues to get involved.
In 2023, when the East Palestine train derailment devastated the local community, our employees rallied together. The Beloit Fire Department lost all of their newly purchased PPE during the disaster, directly affecting many Pennex employees and their families. Our team quickly started a GoFundMe campaign, raising $7,500 from employees. With a matching contribution from the company, we donated a total of $15,000 to replace the department’s gear, ensuring they could continue to serve their community.
Our commitment to community involvement continues to grow. In 2025, we will launch a dedicated community impact workgroup, tasked with identifying new opportunities to support the causes that matter most to our employees and the communities where we operate.
